It Started With My Own Personal Love Level Up
Imagine me twenty-something, divorced with a baby on each hip; far from the fairytale I grew up dreaming. I threw myself into work and was dedicated to giving my kids the best life I possibly could. Pulling myself up by my bootstraps and plowing forward was the strategy that got me through. But, in those quiet moments I couldn't avoid, I was frustrated, hopeless and truthfully scared I'd never find true love and life would always be this way.
There had to be more.
I had the successful career (coaching people for over 20 years is STILL my passion!), a good life and yet it seemed as if love was eluding me leaving me doubtful it would ever really happen for me.
It wasn’t until my mom passed away that everything changed. I felt lost as if I didn’t know who I was without her. For the first time in a long time, I went from trying to find love to trying to find me.
During that time, I changed some of my ways (thank you dear Lord, baby Jesus!) of playing small, settling for less. With a new understanding of just how precious life is, I wanted to use every minute I was given to live the best life I possibly could even if I never had any more than I had right then and there. Thankfully, hope and faith reminded me so much more was possible.
I did my inner work and shifted my beliefs to believe better about love, possibilities in my life and me. By getting into a new relationship with me and love, I realized my first love was me all along. Falling in love with me allowed the love of my life to walk in and we are currently living out our very own happily ever after. Self-love was the key to doing what I love, living the life I love with who I love!
